On a white wall in her bedroom is this sentence written in pencil. It carries the memory of time gone by. Tu Dois Faire Des Choses is a call to think about caring in the broadest sense.
The heart of time is the present in which everything of value can be touched. Ursula le Guin, in her essay "Carrier, theory of human evolution, draws our attention to the story of the pouch, the under-told story about carrying. We carry our children into the world, and we carry our dead into the world. In the passage in between, we are supposed to do things, one of which is to care. That is the essence, that is what matters. The rest is secondary.
